Film maker, Pieter Kruit, has made a compelling documentary about "Trapper Jake," which should appeal to any movie lover who enjoyed "The Revenant."
This is the true life story about Jake Korell a
German born Russian immigrant American trapper. Many critics are comparing this work to that of Werner Herzog's "Happy People," and it may well be regarded as a cinema classic in coming years.
Trapper Jake depicts a way of life that may be gone forever but which holds
many life lessons in the struggle for survival that are still relevant.
Having lived to the age of 98, Korell was a legend in Eastern Wyoming, where he continued to educate and enlighten young people about the pioneering past his entire life.
